Welcome to Personality Diagnosis Tool

You might be familiar with personality tests. They're neat because anyone can fill out a standardized schema to structure what they know about their personality. I've studied personality a lot, and while I appreciate personality tests, I've eventually come to a philosophy where they are missing something major.

But it turns out, much of this major thing could be captured, as long as one uses the right framing. This is what Personality Diagnosis Tool aims to do.

Principles

Most personality tests are based on the principle that there are a small number of common factors that provide a lot of information. That is fine as far as it goes, but it can be vague and doesn't really lead to actionable insights. Instead they're more likely to capture the taut constraints that feel hard to escape.

Meanwhile, this tool is based on the idea that smaller and more common things tend to be caused by bigger and more rare things. Thus the goal is to "zoom in" on the most important things that are going on in your case, which might be unique and differ from other cases.
